How to control MoviePoster using the webremote:
The web remote interface is the recomended method of control. The web interface is available using a web browser and navigating to the control address at the IP of the machine running MoviePoster on the specified port. for example: http://127.0.0.1:8082/remote.html will load the remote in a web browser using the default port on the same machine as MoviePoster. To access the webremote from another device on the same network, replace the IP in the address with the IP or hostname of the machine running MoviePoster.

How to add a specific poster:
You can search for and add posters using the web remote. On the cache page, there is a little blue + icon in the top right corner. Click that to open the search page. When you find the poster you want, click the + icon next to it in the list to add it to the download queue. Once in the download queue, the poster and trailer (if enabled in the settings) will be downloaded. You'll need to refresh the cache page in a few seconds to see your new poster in the list.

How to change the poster for a particular title:
You can change the poster for a particular movie using the web remote. If you click on the options button on the right side of a poster in the list you will be able to choose an alternate poster for that title.

How to manually add a trailer:
Trailers can be automatically downloaded for most movies, but you can save one manually if you wish. To add a trailer to a saved poster, navigate to the MoviePoster/Cache/Movies directory and locate the folder for the approriate poster. Save your trailer in this folder with a filename ending in -trailer (ex: The Dark Knight Rises-trailer.mp4). Note: When a local trailer is present, the trailer data in the .nfo file is ignored.

How to add a motionposter:
Motionposters in various formats are supported by MoviePoster, including swf, gif and most common video formats. At this time adding motionposters is a manual process. To add a motionposter to a saved poster, navigate to the MoviePoster/Cache/Movies directory and locate the folder for the approriate poster. Save your poster in this folder with a filename ending in -motionposter (ex: The Dark Knight Rises-motionposter.mp4). You can find links to some motionposters here.

How to get a registration code:
Anyone who donates $10 or more to support development will be issued a registration code. Of course, any donation amount is always appreciated. Send what you feel is fair. Once registered, a MoviePoster installation is locked to the PC it was registered on. Higher donation amounts will recieve a code that will work for multiple installations.

How to move registration to a new installation:
If you have registered a previous version of MoviePoster, you can reuse your registration file on the same PC without having to reregister. Simply copy the movieposter.lic file from your old installation to your new one. Note: The movieposter.lic file is specific to a PC. If installing on a different PC, you will need to re enter the registration code.
